Bailey's Farm

We spent the afternoon at our favorite pumpkin patch, Bailey's Farm in Snohomish. The last few years we've gone, it's been on a Saturday and is usually pretty busy. But as we pulled in on a Friday, the place was all ours. There were a couple of people working in the fields and at the stand, but none of the usual fanfare was happening. The kettlecorn was quiet and the hayride was sleeping, but they let us wander as we liked. It was an unexpected treat, getting the whole farm to ourselves.

We waited out a rainstorm in the hay barn. Bales are stacked and arranged as a mini-maze for kids, tire swings hang from the rafters, and pedal tractors are scattered around for little riders. We lingered and played and listened to the rain on the tin roof, the place all ours.

Corn maze and puddles. A perfect fall day combination.

"Corn homes are very much better than our home."

It's a good thing you're Hadassah the Strongest.
